Añelo, general information See map

Añelo was founded in October 1915. It is located 99 kilometers from Neuquén. Its name comes from the Mapuche language and has two meanings "threat dune" or "the place of death".

A few kilometers away is the Hydroelectric Complex of Cerros Colorados, one of the largest in the country from which generates part of the electricity consumed in the central area of Argentina, including Buenos Aires. This activity is coupled with the horticultural and livestock production, an emerging forest industry, the establishment of wineries and fruit and vegetable product processing.
