Fishing in Aluminé See map

Aluminé means "brilliant pot" in  Mapuche language. Located near the Lanín National Park, this town has excellent and varied lodge, camping services and good fishing, with the Alumine river famous for its farmed fish (not native) such as trout (brown trout, brook trout and perch) and landlocked salmon.

To get to Aluminé you start from Zapala through Provincial Route No. 46 that is connected with Provincial Route No. 23.

Leaving from Aluminé through Provincial Route No. 18, after 25 km you get to the lake Ruca Choroi where you will find a majestic scenery and one of the best fishing in the area. The varieties you'll find include brook trout and rainbow trout. Modalities are trolling and fly casting.

Lake Quillén

From Aluminé coming along Provincial Route No. 23 south. Arriving at "Rahué" you should take towards the right by the PR No. 46 and after 43 km of gravel you get to the lake Quillén. Here you will find rainbow, brows and brook trouts. Another good place to fish is a place nearby called "La Champa" with the same variety of species, brown trout and rainbow trout.

Desde Aluminé, saliendo por la Ruta Provincial 23 hacia el sur. Al llegar a Rahué debe tomar hacia la derecha por la RP 46 y luego de 43 km de ripio se llega al lago Quillén. Aquí se encuentran truchas que pueden ser arco iris, marrones y de arroyo. Otro buen lugar para la pesca es un sitio cercano llamado "La Champa" con la misma variedad de esper¡cies, truchas marrones y arco iris.
