From Esquel, you can travel 100 km. north to reach the Lago Puelo National Park. The course is framed by a beautiful landscape of foothills, which is transformed into growing areas as it approaches the border of Río Negro. The park offers many activities besides beautiful landscapes.
The door to the park symbolizes Lago Puelo City, the "pearl" of the Andean region. It has a natural attraction like no other has, in that is located on the shores of Lake Puelo, great holiday destination for tourists and residents of the region.
At 17 km, on the banks of the river Quemquemtreu and at the foot of the important Piltriquitrón hill, lies the town of El Bolsón. The building, constructed mostly of stone and local wood and with its classic gables, is picturesque and colorful.
Multiple strands that slide from the fields frame farms and countryside where are cultivated hops, wheat and fruit in abundance. You can go on many trips on foot, by car or on horseback.
