Recognized as a locality "touristically religious", Junín de los Andes is postulated as one of the main destinations at Easter. This Andean city invites you to spend a few days surrounded by beautiful countryside and immersed in an atmosphere of tranquility in the Patagonia.
The ceremonies and processions to be held during Easter invite visitors and locals to rediscover theirself. Thousands of faithfuls come every year to perform the Via Christis and to visit the various religious institutions. The most congregated are the Sanctuary
Nuestra Señora de las Nieves and Blessed Laura Vicuña, which promotes a sense of unity by integrating various cultures in their structure; Park Via Christi on La Cruz Hill, a sculpture park that allows living a religious and captivating experience, and the Sanctuary Ceferino Namuncura in the spot San Ignacio, the home where remains the rest of the Blessed.
On the other hand, Junín invites you to discover the colors of autumn by strolling through the natural attractions within the Lanín National Park. The classic Lanín volcano and lake Tromen, a circuit by the Malleo river's valley with a variety of landscapes mainly focused on the volcano. A thick forest of araucarias and other species bordering the shores of Lake Tromen. In addition, the ride offers the possibility to access the Mapuche communities settled on the banks of the Provintial Route 60.
Another option is to take a walk through the valley of Chimehuín river, reaching the mouth of the same, a preferential area for lovers of fly fishing. Then you reach Port Caneo on the northern of Lake Huechulafquen, gateway to the park entrance, which offers the opportunity to perform various outdoor activities as well as finding accommodation, cuisine, among other proposals. From there you can continue with the tour and get to the lakes Paimún and Epulafquen.
Finally, the undersecretary of local tourism suggests a circuit by the Curruhue river's valley. The same leads to the lakes Curruhue Grande, Curruhué Chico and lagoon Verde with its lacustrine bid for run it differently. Near these water resources are the Thernal Baths of Epulafquen, surrounded by Valdivia jungle and with accommodation and food service.
