About 2,000 people come every year in March to enjoy and explore the Livestock Show and Traditional Festival that is held in the town of Loncopué.
This show was created in 2006 by the need to create a meeting point for livestock producers, artisans and various agencies or regional task-related, and thus raise awareness of the economic activity in the area.
One of the main goals is to show the progress of livestock producers in genetic techniques to increase the quantity and quality of the rodeo in the region.
During the event, different activities are held, among them we can mention the animal exhibits to appreciate the wide diversity of races, exhibitions of genetic techniques that help to optimize the livestock market, sales of regional products and crafts and performing arts, a camper dance and rodeo skills.
The Municipal Camping is the place chosen by the locals to celebrate this Show, which usually begins with a folk music festival involving local, provincial and national level artists. During the following days the exhibits of specimens are done and visitors can tour the different stands of the site where, in addition to sales of food and crafts, there is a place with a demonstration of the production cycle of rainbow trout and other on the equine therapy.
The organization of the event is run by the municipality of Loncopué and the collaboration of the Rural Society of the Northwest Neuquén, the provincial government, the Chamber of Commerce and the Gaucha Association.
