UNCo Museum in Neuquén See map

In April 2000, it was added to the important collection of fossils in Neuquén an irresistible attraction. An animatronic dinosaur developed in conjunction with the National University of Córdoba.

A copy of a Abelisaurius Comahuensis (actually it is a breeding of the species) is in fact the first mechanical dinosaur from Argentina and is able to make a dozen of moves in addition to an intimidating attack noise.

Along with the robot it was presented the size replica of the head of a Giganotosaurus Carolini. The work was done by artist Aldo Beroisa from El Chocón Museum. Lake Barreales Paleontology Center (CEPALB) is located in Loma de la Lata, within the territories of the community Paynemil, 90 km from Neuquén by provincial routes 7 and 51.

Dino Project is the largest paleontological venture that has the province and the country, which emerged from research conducted by scientists at the University, and that currently receives hundreds of visitors a year. Guided tours have an extension of an hour and a half and cover excavation, laboratory and showroom.

Hours: daily from 9 to 19 hours.
