The town of Allen helds each year a bicycle competition in November, which involved hundreds of runners in the area and in the country too. For several days the Upper Valley of Negro River dresses up and you can see the cyclists along the National Route N° 22.

Since 1944, the Tour of the Valley has become the traditional cycling event in the region, calling every year more eager partipants for the jackpot or simply improve their personal time in sports.

The competition, run by the Central Organizing Committee, is divided into five or six stages, plus a timed one. Usually, they are two or three in the city of Allen, and others may be in Roca, Villa Regina, Fernández Oro, Catriel or Cipolletti.

In the test, riders can participate in categories Sub-23, Elite and Master A, who must integrate teams of up to six (6) runners. Also, it will be awarded the winner of the general, i.e., the one rider who spend as little time on the test.
