Bird watching is one of the new activities that can be done on Aluminé. Spring is the best season for this activity because it is the time when migratory birds arrive. Species that are highlighted are: the torrent duck, pink flamingo and black-necked swan.
Dawn and dusk are the best times to observe the behavior of birds. The idea is to spend a quiet day in contact with nature.
There are different circuits around the city in which you can perform this activity and observe different species.
Before reaching the lake you can find two lakes, Laguna de López and Los Patos. There you can see black necked swans, flamingos and geese (common and royal).
The lake Ruca Choroy is reached by provincial route number 18 west of town at 30 km of gravel road.
The crystalline waters of three lakes are populated by a variety of ducks and also can be heard parrots and woodpeckers. These lakes are located in the northern branch of the Lanin National Park.
This national park was created in 1945 to preserve a large population of black necked swans. It is accessed through the provincial route number 46 and is 110 kilometers from Aluminé. In addition to the black-necked swans can find other species such as the large diver duck, pink flamingos, ducks overo, Crested Duck, Shoveler, plovers, silver maca and scoots.
