The city of Luis Beltrán organizes every March an event that brings together the whole family and community around traditional activities in Argentina. It is the Provincial Puestero and Family Festival, which honors the farm man popularly known as "gauchos".
One of the main objectives of the festival is to keep alive the rural tradition and for this reason there are different activities that show the work in the farm that are a spectacle for the audience. Thousands of visitors come to the event to participate in competitions, walk to several craft and food booths and enjoy two beautiful days outdoors.
The site of the Traditionalist Center "El Fiador", located on Provincial Route No. 7 a few kilometers from the town, becomes a feast when the "puesteros" arrive to show their skills and compete for awards. A perfect combination of rodeo skills and artistic shows make the major attraction of the event that rekindles the gaucho culture of Argentina.
The festival begins on Saturday with native skills for adults and children, continues with bulls rodeo, horses reins contest, the traditional game of "pato" and a parade of all participating herds. While on Sunday results in the wheel group and with top clubs, great barbecue for lunch with the presentation of folk artists in the region and finally the awards, which includes 16 thousand pesos in the top three positions .
