For those who prefer to travel around the vicinity of these dream beaches, there are several sites that can be visited which turnes Playas Doradas in the ideal starting point.

This resort of Río Negro is part of a set of beaches, each by distinct singularities, a coastal circuit of 8 km, giving the visitor the tranquility and exclusivity that he/she you are looking for. Among them are:

• Beach Bonita
• Beach Los Suecos
• Beach La Isla
• Beach Las Casitas

Moreover, the fine sands and shoals, these places are suitable for diving, fishing and hiking among other activities.

Of the sites to be visited are included El Cangrejal, which is formed at low tide at the mouth of Salado Creek and it is an ideal place for ecotourism by the possibility offered of approaching the wilderness, flora and fauna.

Another site is Punta Colorada Complex, located at the end of the beach Las Casitas covering the place of Prefecture, the Dock, the Pier and the Pelletizing Plant. This place has a huge cultural, historical, industrial content and also hosts numerous fishing tournaments and spearfishing.

The Nature Reserve, meanwhile, suggests contact with nature along the coast south of the mouth of Salado Creek, where you can see landscapes covered with xerophytic flora and you can do bird watching by the low slope of the protected beaches by shoals.

The Bellido hill, 9 kilometers south of Punta Colorada, has a maximum height of 100 meters above sea level and the lighthouse remains full of anecdotes and stories.

Continuing further south is Punta Pórfido, just 20 kilometers south of Punta Colorada and 30 of Sierra Grande. It is a privileged place for the geological richness of million years that can be observed. There's a natural lookout point at 80 meters above sea level that allows a splendid view of the coast, the sea lion colony and also if you look south you can see the blurred profile of the Peninsula Valdés.

One of the tour highlights is a visit to De los Pájaros Island, a protected natural area where colonies of seabirds such as the Antarctic dove and sea lions of a hair nest. The only way to spot birds is through a raft ride on the cliff because that sector is far from the coastline.

Another of the tours is the Penguin, a series of islands where different species of cormorants and a colony of Magellanic penguins nest. Both tours are done with a guide that explains how the system and the population of birds work, mostly migratory. The last proposed place is the resort Puerto Lobos in which it can be done whale watching.
