Regional Museum Federico Escalada in Río Mayo See map

The Regional Museum Federico Escalada in Río Mayo works in the building that was the first elementary school in the city, School N° 72 where now it is also the House of Culture.

The museum is housed in what was the first school in the city.

Inside you can seethe first desks used at the school and a typewriter from 1895. In addition there is the equipment used by Dr. Federico Escalada and findings of historical value such as arrowheads and tragüiles.

In another room of the museum there is a micro cinema where educational, cultural and tours videos are projected so as to learn more about the history of this city in Patagonia.
