Myrtle Forest and Victoria Island See map

Duration: The trip can be half day or full day. 

The output of this tour is from the San Carlos port or Pañuelo port, located at 25 km from the city center of Bariloche, in the Llao-Llao Peninsula.

From Pañuelo port you navigate about an hour enjoying the magnificent landscape. After 30 minutes you will reach Anchorena port, located in the central and narrowest area of the island, where it is a service center. There is a chairlift in the place to go up the Bella Vista hill, where you can see a magnificent view of San Carlos de Bariloche and its surroundings.

You can also choose to make free guided hikes by marked trails on the island. The most popular are:

  • Ex National Nursery Trail 
  • Interpretation Trail "Antonio Pargade"
  • Gross port and old town
  • Cave paintings
  • Playa del Toro
  • Balcón of Bella Vista hill, among others. 

Every corner of the island, with its beautiful scenery, its rich history and striking natural environment make this trip an experience to enjoy fully.

The tour continues sailing to Quetrihué Port in the peninsula of the same name, located within the National Park Myrtles. There, you can go through staggered trails and see magnificent examples of this specie, that form a dense forest with unique characteristics.

The myrtles are a tree formation unique in the world, with ancient trees of wide trunks. The attractive bark of this tree is cool, smooth and tan with white spots and heights exceeding 15 meters. It has white flowers similar to the blossom and violet fruits of pleasant taste. It is also the only national park within the Nahuel Huapi National Park.

After visiting this forest of dreams, unique in the world, you ship at Anchorena port on Victoria Island, where you can visit the nursery of conifers and other species, the natural viewpoints and the different paths that alow you to appreciate the magnificent beauty of this place. After the guided tour you will begin the road back to Pañuelo Port.
