Along its route there are places to relax, for sports, an amphitheater for shows and the perfect setting for a good time with family or friends.
The "Canalito" stands for a walk with lots of green in General Roca. It is the site of choice for a moment of rest, leisure, sport or merely contemplating the trees.
These squares across the city from east to west, from Mendoza to San Juan Street, between Isidro Lobo and Irigoyen, bordering the secondary irrigation canal III. The "Canal of the soldiers" or "Canalito" in Roca became a tribute to the cities of the Upper Valley of Río Negro, as each one of the places named after one of them.
On March 30, 1979, was given the name of each of them in the street section between Mendoza and San Juan: Plaza Chichinales, Villa Regina, General Enrique Godoy, Luis A. Huergo, Mainqué, Cervantes, Alejandro Stefenelli, General Roca, JJ Gomez, Guerrico, Allen, Fernández Oro, Cipolletti, Ferri, Cinco Saltos, Contralmirante Cordero, Barda del Medio and Villa Manzano.
The whole route is like a park. The work began in March 1987 and with the effort and the help of the residents of the surrounding area got this ride looks splendid.
In the warmer months, this space is filled with General Roca's people looking for a cool and pleasant place where combat harsh climatic conditions. Families gather around the "mate" while the kids enjoy the water and green spaces to run and play.
When the sun goes down, the landscape changes, begins to flood sneakers, sweatshirts, hoodies, knee pads, timers and transforms everything into a large gymnasium where sports and outdoor enthusiasts deployed their skills.
Between Italia and Belgrano streets, the "Canalito" ride has an amphitheater that especially on weekends brings musicians and local artists to display their art for a large crowd of people. In the winter months, these activities are not as common but not completely disappear.
For the most romantic and night lovers, the ride has lighting along the entire route.
