Known as the "Capital of Underwater Activities" or "diving capital" of Argentina, thanks to the transparency of its waters and its rich underwater parks, it is the starting point for access to the attractions of the region.  

During summer you can spend pleasant evenings in the extensive beaches of Puerto Madryn.

The city offers services to tourists such as accommodation, grastronomy, travel agencies, museums and beaches. In summer, sports and recreational activities can be done, like diving, mountain biking, trekking, sailing, kayaking and horseback riding, all in pure contact with nature, ideal to enjoy the holidays.

Puerto Madryn has 3 km of beaches with 7 resorts modernly equipped with catering, tents and umbrellas as well as contract services for water sports.

Besides enjoying the beach, the sea and all activities that take place around them, you can leave the urban center and opt for the tranquility of the wild and lonely places. Penguins, dolphins, sea elephants and sea lions, alongside a variety of birds and land animals make up the attractive convener of the Peninsula Valdés Protected Natural Area, Natural Heritage of Humanity.

The Punta Tombo Natural Protected Area, located 180 km from the city, attracts over 200,000 pairs of Magellanic penguins, which makes it the largest mainland colony of breeding of this species.

The National Cordero Festival invites artists of national and international level.

• The National Cordero Festival. It has cultural activities and performances, live demonstrations of sheep shearing, herding dogs, rodeo, choice of queen, an artisanal tour, an exhibition sector and musical performances of high level.
• Summer concerts. The local promenade is the setting for Argentinean big bands during the summer in Puerto Madryn. Free of charge and in open air, the audience of the city and the area can enjoy the best live music on the promenade of the city.
