San Martin de los Andes Coast was inaugurated last April 8, 2009 when the authorities opened the first phase of the redevelopment of the waterfront of Lake Lácar.
The work entitled "Recovery and Rehabilitation Coast Park Lake Lacar" is a breakthrough for the city and for tourism, and it provides value to the lake Lácar and beautify the city.
Now who stroll through the city of San Martin de los Andes can enjoy a walk along the lake with completely renovated facilities.
The Coast is about 600 meters long and is the main tourist attraction of San Martin de los Andes for several reasons:
They rebuilt the access road and construct a pedestrian and vehicular esplanade, wooden seats and cobblestones floor at the Monument to the deer, sunbathing decks south of the commercial dock, indirect lighting in sodium vapor and underground wiring; windbreaks in the commercial dock, public health services accessible for disabled use, tourism and interpretive signage and street furniture (benches, garbage cans).
The new Coast is located in Costanera Avenue and Villegas street and has a ramp from which you can see an excellent view of the lake ideal for taking photographs. Also there is the dock, the beach, cafes, recreation areas and capture and the fish trap, other options to enjoy this city in Patagonia.
